In the past, shoulder surgery on the left side, lumbago on the left, recurring lumbar spine pain, also on the left. She has been interested in New Medicine for a long time and is also very involved with it. She explained the shoulder problem on the left side as being due to having to care for her grandmother, whom she has been nursing and looking after for many years.

After 20 years of relationship and 14 years of marriage, her husband moved out, which had been looming for some time, so it was neither acute nor sudden, but nevertheless triggered an event, according to her assessment. The marriage had been on the rocks for a long time, with their daughter living in the attic, her husband on the first floor, and her downstairs—a situation that was anything but “natural” or conflict-free. They had not shared a bed for two years after getting married.

Since there were no serious conflicts with her daughter or her grandmother, it was always unclear why it always affected the left side. The conflict is ultimately a clear partner conflict. She has also checked her handedness several times and was and is clearly right-handed; hormonal contraception or changes are also not an issue. She does not drink tap water (which always contains residues from contraceptives). A maternal worry-conflict was also out of the question, as she does not feel like a mother in the true sense of the word

and originally didn't even want the child, but was more or less “persuaded” to carry it to term. Nevertheless, she wanted to have several children and was not opposed to the idea, which is why the second attempt resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. From this point on, the relationship began to crumble.

After weeks of discussions, we got closer to the heart of the matter. Her relationship/marriage was based more on infantile infatuation than mutual respect. She always thought he “would change” after becoming a father. But that was not the case. Her husband was a drinker, just like her mother. Both drank a lot of alcohol and had correspondingly unstable phases and constellations. Her husband stole her money and lied a lot, which was also typical “childish” behavior. Even when she confronted him, he acted like a scolded little boy who then begged for recognition again. There were also many Mother's Day gifts, which she found very strange.

She therefore saw her “husband” more as someone who needed to be looked after, with alcohol/mother issues. Therefore, the left side was clearly responsible for any conflict.

Side shifts often occur as a result of past experiences or inherited loyalties (in this case, the mother, who exhibited similar behavior to the partner).

In our “modern” times and society (my house, my car, my boat), women often no longer live “biologically,” as in other cultures where each child has five or more siblings and a woman automatically/biologically fulfills her role as a mother, and daughters do not play with dolls but are actively involved in raising and caring for their younger siblings. For women without children or with few children, there is therefore a “space” on the mother/child side that is often not filled, which is why we often find women in our part of the world who treat their dogs or cats with absolute overprotectiveness (sometimes to a pathological degree). The tendency to view a pet as a child is actually only found in societies with few children. A woman with five children would have neither the time nor the inclination for such feelings. (Animal welfare fanatics) Here we often see a shift in perspective.
